It's Friday?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's the freakin' weekend. Baby, we about to have us some fun.
And by fun, we mean doing a crap-ton of homework and studying for midterms. Huzzah!
But we do have General Conference, and maybe somewhere in between there we'll finally clean up the huge mess of streamers, M&M's, and balloons from that birthday rager we had on Monday.
(Seriously, it's starting to look like a homeless shelter around here)
Have a fabulous Friday, everyone!
What are your weekend plans?
(Just because ours are lame doesn't mean we can't live vicariously through you, right?)

We Likey Wednesday

Girl Crush: Carey Mulligan
Look at her. She's cute as a button.
Why is it that as her hair get's shorter, she gets cuter?
Riddle us that.

Boy Crush: Matthew Lewis

You might want to sit down before we tell you....
That's Neville Longbottom.
Whaaaaaaaa?
Yes, the chubby awkward kid from Harry Potter.
He's a man now. And puberty has done him well.
So very well.
And we thought this was funny too:
We could've used a copy of this...
Flava of the Week: Sammy's Cafe

Yes we've posted about our beloved Sammy's before, but a recent late night pieshake run resulted in the discovery of the pumpkin pie milkshake. And it's seasonally appropriate!

We Want: Cheetah Print Flats
meow
These pretty kitties have been popping up everywhere. They're purrrrrrrrrrrfect.
(We're so cool)

Tunes: Gotye, "Somebody That I Used to Know"

The first little bit of this video might lead you to believe you are going to see a naked man.
Don't be alarmed/get your hopes up, because you don't see anything.
Pay more attention to the fact that this song is awesome and catchy and super belt-worthy.

Funnies: Mr. G's Drama Class

We have to let you know that 97% of the people we show this to don't think it's funny.
But it is.

Sicky

she says she looks like a pokemon here.
The goods
Nurse Lolo
Our poor little baby, Mad Mad was sick today.
So that meant a lot of 7-Up, Saltine crackers, and chicken noodle soup.
Getting sick in college is the worst.
Because Mom's not here to wait on us hand and foot, and missing school is more stressful than fun.
Not to mention, this is that time of the semester where all the professors get together and decide it would be fun to have all the midterm exams over the course of 3 days.

Even on days like this though, there's always something to be grateful for.
This video reminds us to enjoy every moment we have.
Although it's a message by our church, we think it can be applied to anyone's life regardless of religious affiliation. Enjoy!

Birthdays and Booty-Pops

sweater/scarf/belt: thrifted, skirt: halogen, shoes: steve madden
dress/belt: thrifted, socks: hm, shoes: steve madden
--------------------------------------------------
Today we want to give a special shout out to our girl, Chelsea!
Because she turned the big 2-1!
So of course, she bought us some brewskis and we checked in hotels and went gambling!
Just kidding.
21st birthday parties are a little different around here.
What a gem.
Our  21st birthday parties consist of cake and ice cream, friends, dancing to Korean pop music, and of course the Beyonce booty pop.
You always need the Beyonce booty pop.
Well we love our little Che so much!
She's seriously the coolest, sweetest, and most well-endowed... with poise.
We have this tradition where we always say our favorite memory of the birthday girl, and we just realized we forgot to do that tonight! So here it is Chichy:

Lauren
I have a few. So here it goes. One, the time at Sam's birthday and the waitress kept bringing Shirley Temples. And you said, "If she brings any more Shirley Temples, she is 'SHIRLEY' crazy!". I'm laughing as I think of it.
Two, that one night, when it was really late and I came in to your room and you let me tell you all my troubles, and I just cried with you (as in I was crying and you were probably wanting to go to sleep). But, I love all our talks. You always make me feel better.
Three, the time at Provo High......... you know the one.

Madison
Lady friend, how do I begin my love for thee? I guess I shall start from the beginning.
One: the first time we talked on facebook. You said, "I'm in chior...but don't worry, that's cool where I'm from!" I was really worried. Then when I came to the dorms to be your roommate, you had LOTR paraphernalia all over your room. Again, I was really worried, but look at us now.
Two: The last night we were together as freshman roomies, we were about to get some shut-eye when you said, " I wish this night would never end!" And then I fell asleep.
Three: I just want to personally thank you for letting me try on your clothes. As in, I would wear your bras as shoulder pads and pretend I was Lady Gaga. You are a true friend.

Pretty little lady.
Freshman babies.

How about we all give her some birthday lovin'!

Thrifting Escapades

Today was a very successful thrifting day.
We went a little cray cray, but, boy was it worth it.
Decades is one of our favorite thrift stores.
Like, you know when you look at a blog and they say their item of clothing is thrifted, and you think, "Where the crap did they find that?"
Decades is where they find it.
It's seriously a vintage-lovers dream. They have everything from mink coats, to 1950's style A-line dresses, to flapper headpieces.
Just a fair warning: You will find yourself looking through the racks for hours. They have such a great selection!

Misc. (pronounced "missy") is a newfound love we came across today.
When you walk in, it feels more like a high end boutique rather than a thrift store.
But Missy, the owner, was so sweet and has a great eye for finding vintage gems.
So many pretty dresses and lots of cool vintage furniture too!
The best part is that it's all great quality for decent prices.

Make sure you check em out next time you're in Salt Lake City!
And if you're from Utah, we'd love to hear your favorite places to thrift, because we're on thrifting fiyahhh right now.

Creepin' SLC

top: f21, pants: banana republic, shoes: ross, bag: tj maxx, necklace: nordstrom rack
top/pants/shoes: f21, blazer: oxford & regent, sunnies: uo
While crusin' in the SLC today, we looked over to see a cute boy on a bike.
So we did what anyone would do; we tried to take a picture.... naturally.
(Okay to be fair, we were joking about how creepy it would be to look over and see someone taking a picture of you... So we tested it out. That's normal, right?)

Well, as Lauren has the camera positioned
and cute boy in focus, he suddenly looks over. And the following chaos ensues:
Camera goes flying.
Our heads duck down under dashboard faster than you can say, "Hey, are those girls taking a picture of me?".
(Keep in mind, Madison is still driving)
A little bit of dignity is lost.
And questions about why we're single are answered.

Goodbye bike boy. It was good while it lasted. Sorry we're so creepy.
And that was that.

Teenage Dream

So we met some hot guys today.
Things are getting pretty serious.
decisions, decisions...
we guess you can say there IS one less lonely girl.
What happens when we're on the computer after midnight, running on 3 hours of sleep the night before, eating way too much sugar, and just being super cool in general?

Everything is at least 10x funnier.

Oh and all you Utah bloggers out there, have you heard about this?

{click it}

We're totes def fo sho gonna be there. Are you?

We Likey Wednesday

Is it really Wednesday again already?
Geez Louise.

Girl Crush:  Olivia Palermo

Olivia Palermo is ugly and she dresses bad...
(that's a lie)

Boy Crush: Phil Dunphy

We guess you can call this one a man crush, but we just really love this loveable dad from Modern Family.
We kind of want to be married to him. Even though he's twice our age and a fictional character.
 Is that so wrong?
{ps. We hope you watched the season premiere tonight!
Our fave line- "Ooh. Tres Macho." What was yours?}

Flava of the Week: Station 22 Cafe
We couldn't stop eating those fries. Literally.
Station 22 is a {sort of} new restaurant in Provo specializing in really awesome sandwiches. That's a good thing to specialize in if you ask us.
We both ordered the Turkey Club with fries (because we're really adventurous)
and it was thuper delicious.

We Want: Navajo Prints

Nothing says fall like some good ole' tribal prints.
Right?

Tunes: Michelle Blades

Michelle Blades is kind of music's best kept secret.
Try to not let the tune of this song get stuck in your head.

Funnies: Webcam 101 for Seniors

Not only are these two hilarious, we think this video proves what love is.

Jumping on the Bandwagon

Dress/belt: thrifted, shoes: nine & co.
yellow top/skirt: anthro, sweater: nordstrom, belt: f21, shoes: miss me
Everyone else was doing this "A-Z of me" thing. So naturally, we have to do it too.

If you know what we mean.
Here it goes.

Lauren
A. Age: 20
B. Bed size: At home I have a queen. In my apartment I have a leetle twin.

Q. Quote from a movie: "You can't just ask people why they're white." -Mean Girls. Words to live by.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Women's trend that men don't understand #293012: socks with heels

Reason why we don't understand men #49203: the fact that they don't understand socks with heels

It could be worse. So much worse:

How do you feel about socks and heels?
