Girls' Day Out!

Finally some pictures that aren't from our pinterest accounts.
We're doing a little bit better at this whole blogging thing. Baby steps.

Last weekend, we were lucky enough to participate in Fashion Place Mall's Girls' Day Out! It was so great meeting new friends and getting our shop on with these stylish ladies!

 We got to chill with our blogging buddies Rachel from Pink Peonies, Megan from Classy Confessions, Shannon from Style With Shannon, and Alycia from Crowley Party. 

 Our crew: Jessi from Haircut and General Attitude, Kaitlin, Jenny from Modern Modest Beauty, and her adorable daughter Morgan! 

Can we just point out that Morgan was the best shopping buddy? She was so excited to go to all of the stores with us and even held our hands. We died.

We got our fill of mall-walking carbs courtesy of Red Rock Brewery. Thanks Red Rock for the good eats!

We laughed, we shopped, we ate, and we had so much fun!

Girl Crush: Rosamund Pike

Confession time: we watch Pride and Prejudice almost every Sunday. 

And after the millionth time of watching it, we realized she deserved this spot.

A man of many hats, this guy can do no wrong.
And he's our original boy crush from the n'sync days.
But, we don't really need to explain to you why we love him, right?

Flava of the Week:  Red Rock Brewery

 So ex-nay the alcohol, because we didn't drink that. We just couldn't find any pics of their food.
But the breaded french toast (yeah, you heard right) was amazing! You must try. 
We were fortunate enough to have a wonderful lunch there this last weekend during our Girls' Day out
(we'll share more about that tomorrow!)

But we're trying to stay positive as our relationship with technology is going down the drain. There's always Instagram right?

Girl Crush: Florence Welch

We're mad crushin' on Florence for a lot of reasons. 

Not only do we appreciate her beautiful voice, but also that she can wear bedazzled leotards, velvet capes and still look awesome. 

Boy Crush: Oliver Sim

So, we went to The XX concert last night!

And can we just say that Oliver Sim's voice is pure sexyness?

He makes us want to wear all black and join a 90's rapper look-a-like cult. 

Flava of the Week: Black Sheep Cafe

Have you been thinking, "man, I'm really craving some amazing Southwest Native American cuisine?"

If no, then shame on you, who hasn't been craving that?

We Want: Halloween Costumes

Someone please give us cool ideas for Halloween costumes. 

Everything we've come up this far are either extremely cliche, or borderline inappropriate. Save us from the fate that is our go-to 90's outfits.

A Night at the Opera

You guys might not know this, but every once in a while we try to indulge in the finer things in life. 

Like the opera.

This weekend we had the opportunity to attend opening night of the Utah Opera's Il Trovatore.

We didn't really know what to expect, so we just made sure our pinkies were out the whole time and overused plenty of "Bravo's". 

Because we're culturally refined. 

But in all seriousness, the opera is incredible and we were completely blown away by the talent of the performers.  We were even practicing our opera voices all the way home. We're really good, in case you were wondering. 

Plus, we're always itchin' for an opportunity to dress super fancy. 

(It was either this, or crashing a high school prom)

He has the whole "newsy from 1901" look going on, and we're surprisingly attracted to it. Plus he writes incredible music.

Flava of the Week: Savory and Sweet

This Orem restaurant is quite a gem. They serve sweet crepes, savory crepes AND pasta, which basically translates to: they serve happiness. 

We Want: Statement Coats

So we're all about investing in a nice, neutral winter coat to wear with everything. But this year is all about being bold. Why not try out a crazy printed coat? Why not? (Hil Duff reference alert)

We actually know/ are obsessed with this girl in real life... as opposed to fake life?

You know, the very same mall that invited us to Fashion's Night Out?

In celebration of their fabulous 40 years, the mall is hosting a week long event from October 15-20, where something cool is going on every day of the week. A complete schedule can be found here!
