We're pretty sure the entirety of the Provo population was on a walk, or just driving by during the ten minutes we were taking these pictures yesterday. Can't two girls just take pictures of each other wearing unusually dressy outfits for a Thursday afternoon without getting judged in this town?!?!

Sorry. That was an overreaction. 

Maybe it's just us, but things always get weird when people catch us taking blog pictures. And when we say things, we mean us. We get really weird. Like when someone walks by, we'll hide the camera in our clothes and start awkwardly dancing or high-pitch singing, usually a combination of both (we really need to work on our "act normal" thing). Or when someone drives by, we get all ghetto-girl-up-in-your-grill defensive, and yell something like, "You don't know my life!"

Life is so hard. Do any of you fellow fashion bloggers have the same issue?

While we were fangirling so hard at the Host premiere a few weekends ago (no, we're not ashamed), we realized a few things: 

1) What kind of name is Saoirse? Did we even spell that right? Is that even English? 

2) Either way we're obsessed with her. 

3) If aliens took over the world and made everyone dress as well as they did, we'd be ok with it.

 Leather details are totally in this Spring! Yipee! Leather skirts are a subtle way to show that you can be feminine and bad-a all at the same time... and who doesn't want that?

Fashion Place Mall is hosting a free Spring Fashion Show Event this Friday, Apr. 5, from 6-8 p.m., and you're invited! If you remember last year's Fashion's Night Out event and fashion show, then you know it'll be a good time.

The party on the runway will kickoff at 6 p.m. with the University of Utah ballroom dancers, followed by fashion shows featuring fresh spring looks from Fashion Place stores and custom looks from student designers at Salt Lake Community College's Fashion Institute.

You also have the chance to win a $250 gift card to Fashion Place, but you must attend the event to be eligible.

Fashion Place Instagram Contest

1.       Follow Fashion Place on Instagram and Facebook.

2.       Snap a photo on Instagram (photos must be taken at the Fashion Place Spring Fashion event featuring you, fashion, art, or a mix of these).

Two girls, one pattern. Today was one of those days where we both came out of our rooms in the morning wearing the same thing. So we ran with it.

Madison went all "pastel spring angel", while Lauren tried the whole "biker leopard mama" thing (We're really into studs lately). Just goes to show that you really can wear polka dots with anything. Who knew?
