A Gap Fashion Show + Why I'll never be a model

On Saturday, I was lucky enough to participate in the Gap at University Mall's Spring Fashion Show! The show
featured bloggers and local influential people wearing outfits we styled ourselves with Gap's new spring line. It was fun to see everyone's individual, unique style and get all Tyra-esque on the runway. At first, I was all like:

But then things got weird when I realized I am incapable of being a normal human being when too many people are watching me. Let me show you.

First, I started strong with an ambivalent beauty queen wave...

Then I channeled my inner Miss Jay and got it together. I walked down most of the runway repeating to myself, "be cute and normal, be cute and normal, be cute and normal," and it almost worked.

But then I got to the end of the runway, and I didn't know what to do with my hands. I remember I spun around and tried doing cheesy "fashion" poses. But after that, it was all kind of a blur. I could hear the emcee still reading my never-ending bio that Gap made the mistake of letting me write myself and I knew I had to stall. At this point, I completely lost control of my body, and I just started dancing. Just dancing at the end of the runway. Chest thrusts. Hip thrusts. Hands in the air. The whole time, I'm thinking to myself, "What are you doing? Why are you dancing? Stop dancing. Go back to the cute and normal thing." But I couldn't stop.

Pretty sure the lady's face in the bottom right hand corner says it all.

Luckily, no one hates me enough to post a video of it anywhere, but just to have some sort of visual, it was a little something like this:

So there's the story of why I'll never be a model, and why no one should ever let me walk a runway ever again. Despite this, I'm so thankful to Gap for including me in this awesome event. Easy TEE-SY

Sometimes, I feel like my style has actually regressed to the point where I just want comfort over anything else. Unfortunately, wearing sweats and a tee-shirt isn't always an option when you're trying to become a well-adjusted adult, but that doesn't mean we can't just stick to the basics, right? Here, I present to you three freakishly easy spring transition outfits utilizing one of fashion's greatest achievements: the simple graphic tee.

1. tee/skirt/shoes

The first look is classic, chic, and multifunctional. This Jcrew baseball tee says two things: One -that you're dressed up, but still totally "chill". Two - you can speak French (it doesn't matter if you don't actually speak French. If someone asks, just start repeating lines from Lady Marmalade).

2. tee/skirt/shoes

The second look takes a nod from one of my favorite bloggers, Chelsea who rocks leopard slip ons better than anyone. This Adidas shirt, paired with a flirty skirt and comfy shoes is perfect for weekend errand running, lunch dates, and generally just doin' your thang like it ain't no thang.

3. tee/jeans/shoes

The third look is cool and casual, but also THIS SHIRT, YOU GUYS. I feel like if I wore it, I wouldn't need to speak anymore because the shirt says everything anyone would ever need to know about me. Keep it simple with some light wash jeans and a bold colored sandal, and you're good to go.

Gap Summer Style Event

Yesterday, we hung out Summer Style event at Gap! We got to hang out with some blogger buds, make new friends, munch on some refreshments (always our favorite part), and check out the latest and greatest from the Gap summer collection.

So... this happened. And maybe we missed the group picture because we were trying on clothes. Don't worry, we may or may not have photobombed at least one of them.

We mixed and mingled and mingled and mixed. Here we are looking happy and fun with the lovely Bre'an from St8 of Mind

It was love at first awkward 3-way face touch.

Oh, and best part? Mads won a gift card giveaway! Seriously, we never win anything!!!!!!

But let's be real. The night was alllll about the clothes. Here's some of our recent faves from Gap:

Our advice is to go to Gap right now and check out the great selection of maxi dresses they have right ner. Srsly. It's like maxi heaven.

(fun fact: Lauren used to work at Gap. funner fact: You should too because the employee discount is RIDIC)

BYU Blogger Meetup: It Happened

Hey guys! So remember that time we had that little BYU Blogger Meetup?

We had the best time hanging out with you guys and getting to know all of you! We wish we had the time to talk to everyone, but we guess this just means we'll have to have another one of these in a couple months, eh?
Not to mention, we had the BEST sponsors in the world and so many ladies went home with some sweet swag! Seriously, we're kinda jealous. But everyone left with some fabulous discounts and free 3B yoga classes, so we aren't complaining.

Thanks to everyone that came to party with us! When we started blogging, we never thought we'd be meeting so many fabulous, inspiring people, and making lasting friendships. But we have, and it's been such a blessing.

About Last Night...

First things first, have you entered our My Remedy giveaway yet? It was supposed to close tonight, but we've been so busy with the meetup that we decided we'll leave it open until tomorrow night at 11:59 p.m. So go enter now!

Second of all. Last night was so cray cray, we can't even remember most of it! Who drugged us? Tell the truth...

But it all seriousness, the BYU Blogger Meetup was a success! There was probably around 50 bloggers there. We mixed. We mingled. We stuffed our faces with brownies and baby cupcakes.

We were so excited to meet some of our favorite bloggers and get introduced to new ones as well.

BYU Blogger Meetup: The Final Countdown + Sponsors!

Well guys, we're forgoing We Likey Wednesday today because we have some talkin to do.

Today is March 7th. Which means tomorrow is March 8th. Which means tomorrow is the
