As Athletic Looking as I'm Gonna Get...

tee: clad & cloth
skirt: anthro (old-- similar)
tights: target
necklace: gift
watch: michael kors
shoes: halogen via nordstrom's rack

Flashback to a year ago, and we confessed how much we love the baseball tee. Now I finally get to style one and tell you why I like it so much!

-Dress it up or down: Check
-  Look sporty and/or somewhat athletic: Check
- Wear it with cheetah print: Check. Always.
- This graphic print gives off the vibe that I can ride a bike (Which I can't. It's alright. I've accepted that I will never be this.)

What makes a baseball tee even better? When it comes from the adorable Shannon from Clad & Cloth. We'll talk more about Clad & Cloth later, but for now check out the super cute merch!
This tee is super soft and I love the graphic on the front. I can spice it up for a dressy event, a casual weekend, or even (dare I say it) sporty thingys!

Keep it sporty-chic, America.

Routine

As the winter seems to uncomfortably hang around like that friend who laughs at their own jokes (oh wait... that's me), I find myself stuck in the same clothing routine week after week:

Monday: put on anything that is clean
Tuesday: put on anything that has dried from the laundry.
Wednesday: I at least wash my hair. Mostly because my husband makes a subtle yet clear remark that he wants me to wash my hair.
Thursday: wear the basically same dress/sweater combo I wore yesterday.
Friday: Casual Friday-- which means I wear the above baggy sweater and boot combo. Because why not?
Saturday: How long can I manage to stay in my fluffy robe ?
Sunday: How long can I manage to stay in my fluffy robe?
Repeat.

Do you ever find yourself in this routine? How do you spice things up? Are you addicted to your fluffy robe? Help me break from the chains!

Be Bold

coat: anthro via ebay, blouse: anthro, skirt: banana republic, tights: target, shoes: gift via anthro (similar)

Oftentimes, we go against what we want to wear because it's too crazy, out there, or in this case resembles Willie Wonka.
A lot of people might be turned off matching bold prints like large stripes and a cray cray coat, but that's kinda the beauty of it all!
I guess what I'm trying to say is...
whoop. der it is.

Werk It

scarf: vintage, jacket: kaleidoscope boutique (old), shirt: gap, trousers: banana republic (on sale!), shoes: halogen via nordstrom rack.

An interesting transition occurs after you graduate college.
(And no, I'm not talking about the one where dye your hair purple and move to L.A)

I'm talking about the one where you go from wearing sweats and leggings to actually getting a "real job" and having to wear actual "pants". Like, what? It can be a struggle.
Pantsophobia is a real thing. I think even Yonce' might have it.

Here are a few basic tips as I've transformed my wardrobe from collegiate to suga momma...
1.Work with what you got. Not only do you not want to buy a whole new wardrobe (even if your heart says yes), but there's no need to change your style for a new job.
2.Buy *a few* staple peieces. I'm talking a pencil skirt/ trousers--and the possibilities are endless!
3.Tastefully accessorize! A good pair of earrings, a versatile watch, or a statement necklace will turn casual outfits into a more dressy ensemble.

And if all else fails--just go on that shopping spree. You got a job, you deserve it, right?

Winter White

coat: weatherproof (similar). blouse: kensie via macy's (similar). pants: h&m. necklace: nordstrom rack. bag: steve madden. boots: you'll never know*
Lolo and I are trying this new thing where we post things separately
(because marriage has torn us apart. jklol).
I know this is a little scary-- new things can be scary, but I think if we all just have an open mind this could turn out to be something really great.

Now that I got that off my chest, let me proceed to say that: yes, I do feel as cold as I look in these pictures. Provo has not been kind to those with poor hand circulation and a proneness to slipping on ice death traps, but it does give one a chance to try out this whole 'winter white' trend.
Which makes me feel so fresh and so clean.
Are you feelin' the all white ensembles this winter?

*P.S. You can thank husband for the lack of feet. But in his defense, it was his first outfit shoot experience. I say he did  alright , yeah? Good job, hottie.

Stay warm and have a great weekend, friends!
xoxo
