Breakfast at Tiffany's

Yesterday, we were invited to celebrate Tiffany & Co.'s first Christmas at City Creek! When we arrived, we were offered a literal breakfast at Tiffany's, which was basically a dream come true for these Audrey Hepburn diehards. We also got to mingle with some of our favorite blogger friends, try on some of the  breathtakingly gorgeous jewelry, and learn a little more about the history of the 175 year old company.  

 Everyone who attended the event left with these little goodie bags and a pair of Tiffany blue stone earrings. Needless to say, we felt pretty classy carrying these around the mall. (That is, until we decided to run frantically to the food court to grab some last minute egg Mcmuffins. Because one breakfast is never enough, right? Also, we will stand by our claim that Mcdonald's breakfast is the only good reason to wake up before 10:30 a.m.) 

Anyways, we want to give a HUGE thanks to Tiffany & Co. for inviting us to celebrate with them. Let's just say, our Christmas wish lists just got a little bit longer.

Girl Crush: Anne Hathaway

Let's not try to convince ourselves that our unhealthy obsession with Princess Diaries didn't happen. And now our girl Anne has moved on to bigger and better things. The Les Miserables trailer? We cried. And we don't even know anything about Les Mis except for the fact that Lauren's dad is strangely obsessed with it. Normal.

Boy Crush(es): Macklemore and Ryan Lewis

Ever since Eminem, we were losing hope that white rappers could be attractive/likable.

And then came Macklemore, and his sexy scruff-faced producer friend and everything changed. 

Gimme some Mackle-more of dat.

Flava of the Week: Sweet Tooth Fairy

Tis' the season for stuffing our faces and eating way too many carbs. That's why we wanted to highlight one of our favorite cupcake bakeries in town! Sweet Tooth Fairy also has cookies, pastries, and super delicious cake bites. The owner even won an episode of Cupcake Wars!

  

We Want: Boyfriend Jeans

Ok. We know we know we're like four years late on this one. But we always felt like we needed skinny, spidery long legs to wear them. But then we read this article and were overcame with strange feelings of empowerment. So now we want boyfriend jeans.

Roundup: Turkey Day Style

Well, you guys, the time has come.

The holiday season has come upon us and it feels so good!

 Lolo has temporarily taken a hiatus to the land o' California and Mads is hanging out in Utah. 

Blogging while in two different states can be a little difficult, considering the whole distance thing.

While our wardrobe will most likely consist of sweats and old girls camp t-shirts,

Out + About: Tulle Skirt

Another edition of our newest feature: Out + About!
Today, we thought we share some styling tips to work dat tulle skirt!

For a night on the town, play up the classic black and white scheme with a pop of color. We are really diggin' some accents of jade. Try some accessories that are unique and add some personality to your ensemble like a fiesty kitty bracelet. And lastly, we are firm believers that leopard print can go great with almost any outfit. Srsly.

Dress it down with some neutrals! Leather accents and booties are always a good choice (leather daddy's right here). Thermals/sweaters look great layered with a weathered jean jacket to look effortless and all cozy-like for the Fall.

Out + About: Fur Vest

Hey guys! Today we wanted to introduce a new thing we wanna try on this here bloggy blog. 

Since Fall is a time of transitions, we wanted to show you guys how we transition certain pieces from date night looks (out)-- to casual, every day looks (about).

Every week we'll focus on one staple item. This week it's this fur vest from H&M. 

Annnnd, we want to hear your suggestions for the next feature!

Fur vests:

1) It's either you love 'em or you hate 'em

2) They can be intimidating because well... it's basically a furry shirt. 

BUT they can be a great way to mix up a Fall wardrobe when you get a little creative!

When going out, pair that vest with some unexpected color and  texture pieces like an emerald lace dress and snake heels. Like a sexy jungle lady... or a romantic Russian empress. Either one sounds like a pretty good choice. 

Also, make the vest a little more casual by pairing it with some basics. Nothing says cool and relaxed some boyfriend jeans! And you know it's not a complete outfit unless you put a statement necklace on it.

Lastly (and most importantly), wear that thang with confidence! You be lookin' goooood girl.
